Did you know that any person who works at height is REQUIRED by law to have fall prevention measures in place? If you don't and there is an accident, you may be prosecuted for failing to provide a safe work place, even at home! Any competent person can build a scaffold to a working deck of 4.0m without certification. Above 4.0m, Australian Standards requires the scaffold to be installed, altered, or dismantled by a qualified Scaffolder.

In accordance with the Australian Standards, a competent person is deemed to be:
"A person suitably qualified, adequately trained and appropriately experienced for the particular class of work described."
